Role
The CCG IT/System Administration team provides critical systems and integration services for CCG infrastructure. You will maintain various resources for multiple business and software development teams by implementing security controls, maintaining and configuring systems, and providing operational support for CCG Team Members. You will furthermore take a leading role in assigned technical areas while working with other team members to enhance and maintain CCG systems and services.
Work you'll do
- Support physical and virtual infrastructure with a focus on Linux and Windows administration
- Administer complex network and server administration functions, including maintaining, repairing, upgrading, configuring, installing, and patching operating systems and hardware.
- Analyze system performance and resources and implement solutions to enhance performance, correct problems and ensure systems are operating correctly.
- Identify, document, and recommend appropriate changes to improve infrastructure performance and reliability.
- Deploy, manage, troubleshoot, and maintain physical and virtual infrastructure.
- Analyze potential threats to systems and take appropriate action to prevent and remediate them.
- Develop and automate tasks with various automation tools.
- Conduct analysis supporting new infrastructure and software planning
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a current Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility and be willing to sit for a CI polygraph (note, only US Citizens are eligible for security clearances)
- Ability to understand and translate complex requirements into working solutions
- Adhere to strict information system security guidelines
- Develop and document technical processes and procedures
- Ability to write policies and procedures, security compliance guidelines, infrastructure guides, and provide input for training modules
- Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, in a written and oral format
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, CentOS, RedHat)
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft (Windows, LDAP, Server 2016, 2019)
- Intermediate understanding of hypervisors (VirtualBox, VMware Workstation)
- Intermediate understanding of storage concepts and technologies
- Experience with networking, including routing and switching.
- Continuous learner, both able and willing to quickly learn new technology and software.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision while regularly collaborating with team members.
- Ability to analyze network traffic using Wireshark, tcpdump, or related tools.
- Experience with provisioning/configuration management tools such as Ansible. (Or the ability and willingness to learn)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform (Or the ability and willingness to learn)
- Experience with a cloud computing platform such as Amazon Web Services
- Experience with Linux containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with host-based and network-based firewalls such as iptables, Cisco ASA, or Juniper SRX.
- Experience with a version control code repository like GitLab
- Analyze internal and external system requirements; provide solutions based on hardware and software requirements
- Create and maintain user and computer accounts and modify permissions and access
- Ability to interact, meet, discuss, document, and troubleshoot with vendors; evaluate vendor products and services
- Make recommendations to purchase hardware, software, system components
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with task tracking software such as Jira.
- Experience working in an agile environment.
- Experience with system alerting and monitoring.
- Experience with VPN technologies such as Nebula, Wireguard, OpenVPN.
- Experience with the creation and deployment of system images in an enterprise environment
- Experience with maintaining security audit logging information
- Experience with security compliance guidelines such as NIST and CMMC
- Experience with Monitoring solutions
- Experience with Inventory
- Experience with Windows server & client, Windows Server architecture & management, Windows domain architecture, Windows Group Policy, Windows Active Directory, LDAP
- Experience with configuring virtualization platforms such as installing maintaining vSphere, vCenter, Proxmox
